Had the Khao Soi and Pad Bai Grab Pow. Both were great but the Khao Soi was the star. Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

amazing Pad thai! it's my favorite spot to eat!

This place is a serious contender for best restaurant on Central Avenue. They have a great variety of Thai food here. The Pad Woon Sen is incredible, and the spring rolls are a delight. For dessert, the Gluay Buad Chee is a simple and tasty treat (bananas with warm sticky rice and coconut milk).

I am so glad we stopped in this little gem on our way to Fair State Brewing. We sat at the bar and the staff was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our dishes - both were well executed with a nice amount of spicy heat.

This place is a such a wonderful spot on Central! We had exceptional food from start to finish. They have a ton of great choices and a full wine/beer menu too. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is excellent on top of that. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious night out!

Finest food, friendly staff members, constantly fantastic ambience. They charge reasonable rates and the food quality is good. Great work.

Great authentic Thai restaurant. Their locations makes it somewhat hard to find a parking lot on occasion, but it's worth checking them out. I've been here a few times now and have almost always left happy with my meal.

The moment you walk through the doors at sen yai sen lek, you know you’ve made the right choice! The food smells amazing and tastes even better! I could not help but notice the lovely food presentation too. It’s a cozy family owned Thai restaurant that you definitely feel at home in. A must try!

EXCELLENT food, what a great find! Went with a friend and really enjoyed ourselves. Would return again soon!

Excellent food, friendly staff with great service. Best Thai food in NE.

The service was quick and I was able to easily order take out online while waiting for the bus, but I wasn’t super impressed with the portion size or the flavor. I had the Pad See Yew and it was ok but not spectacular - it only had broccoli for veggies and not much flavor. The staff were friendly when I came in and it’s a cute space, easy access to transit.

This Thai restaurant is the best in the Twin Cities. The dishes and appetizers are all delicious.

Delicious Thai food and lots of vegetarian/vegan options! My favorite dish is the Pad Gratiem Prik Thai with mock duck. The inside space is a bit small, but it's very warm and inviting.I usually dine in for lunch and am able to find street parking on Central Avenue and get in without a wait.

The food was good but a little pricey, I really enjoyed my lunch, I’ll return.

Great food! Enjoyed the curry soup with egg noodles. Also, any place that has pickled jalapenos have me sold ðŸ˜

We had a group of six and came in on a fairly busy night after an event at the nearby Northrup King Building. We were able to sit at the bar and our experience was super. The food was fantastic (I've been 4-6x so far and it's always great) and the service was really good too. Even though they were busy the service was quick and fun. Our group included a few vegans and vegetarians and all were impressed with the choices and quality.

Excellent food. Authentic flavor.Very friendly staff.Extremely friendly for allergies, lots of menu options for gluten free. Only missing a dedicated frier, but still, great options.

last night was the first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the generous service, with the great food and booze and with the decent charge. We will no doubt visit there in a short time.

I had the Matsuman Tofu with jasmine rice and sauteed greens. Loved the generous chunks of potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, fried tofu and peanuts. The sauce was rich and delicious - all I added was a little of a fiery chili sauce to add a bit of acidity and heat. Portion was generous, I'll have that for breakfast. Yummy!

Our almost weekly standby is solid, solid, solid. Great well-retained staff who know the regulars and always greats guests with warmth and a smile. Consistently good and fresh food never over sauced or over seasoned. So glad this place is here, and bikeable in the Summer (racks right out front).

AMAZING staff, the one guy who looks like he could dunk on shaq knows the menu like he majored in it at college. The food is absolutely excellent and the staff, again, super nice and helpful. Bingo bango bongo, make a stop here

The khao pad gai was delicious! Great flavor! We had a sample of the red curry and that was amazing as well. I'll definitely be back for more items on the menu.

Came here with a few friends and ordered a bunch of different dishes for the table. Everything was quite delicious! We really enjoyed the Pad Thai and the dishes with the fried rice!

Sen Yai Sen Lek is the best overall Thai restaurant in the cities. Every dish I've tried is fantastic. Food is considerably better than 'fancier' Thai places that charge considerably more, like a certain place in Uptown.
Katie Swanson
Best Pad Thai I’ve found in the Twin Cities.
Sonja Montgomery
I've consistently had great service. The staff really cares about giving you great food; they have a really good menu. Chill vibe--accepting of everyone and classy.

Sen Yai Sen Lek is our go-to place for great thai in the neighborhood. It is a quaint, family run place that is affordable and has great food. They are also very accommodating even letting our kids order burgers and sandwiches from their sister restaurant next door, Dipped in Debris. The usually have a few good local beers on tap and always have a good list of beers in general as well wine.

You know I came here a few years ago on a second date. The date went terribly but it wasn't because of this place! The food is awesome and has good variety. Great for vegetarian or gluten free too!Margret, if you're out there please just let your date know that you have the flu and ask to reschedule.

Very delicious! We walked in and were immediately taken back to the time we spent in Bangkok and Phuket. Literally spent the entire meal reminiscing. This is authentic Thai food and the service was great.

Excellent Thai food. Locally sourced ingredients, local beers. The food always tastes fresh. Typically, the food is served mild and there are spices at the table to increase the spice level to taste. This works great in the restaurant, but can sometimes leave you wanting with takeout. That said, we have never had a bad dish here! The staff and owners are friendly, warm, and welcoming.

We received good service and the menu options are great. I did not feel that the food was by any means outstanding but my experience would not deter me from returning to try it again in the future. Decent portion sizes. The rest of the party I was with very much enjoyed their meals.

I visit this place a lot since I work close by. I got to say their customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot clean regularly. Pricing is fair and they serve generous portions.
Dustin Hoffmeister
Very good ðŸ‘. Tried one of the sticky rice dishes, and one of the soups. Both were very tasty. Recommend!

Great customer service and super clean establishment. Best Thai in northeast minneapolis. Half off Tuesdays are the best
Benjamin Kloster
Fairly small but good food. They wait staff give good suggestions if you it's your first time eating thai. The portion sizes are good and they aren't too spicy.
Rose Carlson
Cute little place with a varied menu and tasty food! I enjoyed the curry special of the day (red curry with tofu). Popular with a line waiting at 7:30 on a Wednesday night.
Nikki Soule
Hands down best fried tofu.

Very good lunch. We ordered 3 different meals and all were good. Fast service for lunch on a weekday which was nice. I'll eat here again for sure.

Wow, my mouth is watering just thinking about how delicious Sen Yai Sen Lek is! They serve modern Thai dishes, made with fresh vibrant ingredients at very reasonable prices. The staff is incredible. The vibe is friendly and welcoming in a community meeting place kind of way. This is the type of place that you can take someone to, and know that it will be a good date. Excellent!!

The food was ok but we were not blown away. I don't know, is this supposed to be "modern" Thai with a fancy twist? You may be better off with the "traditional" Thai restaurant across the street. What I really didn't like was how crowded it was inside. You really shouldn't go there with more than 4 people. When we were there, they were trying to seat two groups of six, which meant that they were ripping one of the small tables away from our setting, while we were still eating, which made the end of our dinner not very enjoyable. Did they think, pissing two guests off, is not as bad as making 6 people wait a few minutes longer? My wife wants to give them another try, one day but I am not so sure if it'd be worth it..
